Kathryn has been a practicing attorney since 1987 and is licensed to practice in Louisiana. A native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Kathryn received her undergraduate degree at LSU Baton Rouge, and then graduated Law Review from Loyola School of Law in New Orleans. Upon obtaining her license, Kathryn served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Orleans Parish D.A.’s office where she acquired substantial jury trial experience. During her tenure at the DA’s office, Kathryn also screened felony domestic violence and sexual offense cases, and when appropriate, presented evidence to the Grand Jury in violent felony cases.
In 1989, Kathryn moved to San Francisco, and for many years, she lived and worked in California’s Bay Area. There, she practiced in both civil and criminal courts. Her civil litigation practice primarily focused on representing clients with serious injuries.
From 2009 to 2011, Kathryn taught law courses at the college level in Northern California. In her second year of teaching, she was voted “Teacher of the Quarter” at the college where she served as an Instructor in the Legal Program.
In late 2011, Kathryn was happy to return to her home state and resume the practice of law here. Kathryn began working at Morris Bart in 2014, where she serves as Of Counsel Attorney.
