Sharika King is a native of Alexandria, LA. Ms. King joined Morris Bart, LLC in 2013 as a staff attorney. Ms. King graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern University and A & M College with a degree in Biological Sciences. She later earned her Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
While in law school, Ms. King served as the Articles Editor of the “Southern University Law Review”, a Student Attorney with the SULC Criminal Clinic, a Teaching Assistant in the areas of Torts and Family Law, a 1L Mentor, a Pupil of the American Inns of Court, and a member of the Elections Committee of the Student Government Association.
Sharika has also been the recipient of several CALI Awards, the Thurgood- Marshall Wal-Mart First Generation Scholarship, and the Thurgood-Marshall Coca-Cola Scholarship. Additionally, Sharika has served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Chief Judge Brian A. Jackson of the Middle District of Louisiana.
Ms. King is licensed to practice before all Louisiana state courts.
