What Is the Rising Star Contest?
The Q93 Academic Rising Star Contest is designed to recognize students who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership, and future potential. Each year, participants are invited to submit essays, personal statements, or video essays that share their goals, accomplishments, and aspirations, each focused on a different prompt.
For 15 years, Morris Bart has sponsored the Rising Star Contest. Winners are selected based on merit and are publicly recognized for their achievements. The program helps bring attention to students who are working hard in school and preparing for college or other post-secondary opportunities.
Scholarship Support from Morris Bart
As part of this initiative, Morris Bart provides a $2,500 scholarship to selected winners. These scholarships are intended to help offset the cost of college tuition and related expenses, making higher education more accessible for deserving students.
