A car accident in Shreveport has left one man dead, and a woman injured. The accident happened last Wednesday, according to the Shreveport Times.
The police report states that the female driver was fleeing a shooting at a high rate of speed because someone fired shots at her vehicle. She was speeding east on Jefferson Paige Road when her SUV crossed into the other lane and hit another vehicle head-on.
The driver of the other vehicle was killed at the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital for her injuries and given standard toxicology tests. Police are investigating the claims of the shots.
This is certainly an unusual situation. You don’t hear many news stories talking about a driver getting shot at for no reason. That would make most people flee from a scene as fast as possible, but that still makes you responsible if you cause a crash.
