Several recent vehicular accidents have led to tragedy on Alabama roads, according to recent news stories.
KARK 4 News reports on a car crash in Little Rock that took the life of a local man early Saturday morning. According to early reports from the Arkansas State Police, a 26-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe on Interstate 630 when he allegedly lost control for unknown reasons and left the roadway. The sport-utility vehicle overturned and came to a halt on Park Street near the I-630 overpass. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
The driver of an overturned vehicle in Alabama last Thursday had a more positive outcome, according to reporting by WVTM 13 News. A two-vehicle accident in the town of Bessemer, at the intersection of Ninth Avenue and Westlake Drive, caused a vehicle to flip upside down and slide into a creek. Responding officers jumped into the creek and broke the car’s window, freeing the trapped driver, who was taken to UAB Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Also in Alabama, a multi-vehicle wreck near Millbrook led to another death, according to reports from the Montgomery Advertiser. The incident occurred around 2 pm on Wednesday, on Alabama Highway 143 near Peninsula Boulevard in Montgomery County, delaying traffic in the northbound lanes of Interstate 65. The identity of the deceased has not been released by law enforcement.
