After graduating from high school, Peter Russell served four years in the United States Army. Once he completed his tour of duty, he was a police officer for 11 years where he served as a patrol supervisor, crisis negotiator, and commander of the department’s SWAT Team.
While serving as a police officer, Peter attended Missouri Southern State University, graduating with a 4.0. Upon graduation, Peter resigned as a police officer and attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate.
During his time at Loyola, Peter was invited to the Maritime Law Journal and Moot Court program, and he was part of Loyola’s Law Clinic. Prior to his employment at Morris Bart, Peter practiced criminal defense in Jefferson, Orleans, Lafourche, St. Tammany, St. John, St. Bernard, St. Mary, and Plaquemines Parishes.
