Michael S. Hunter joined Morris Bart, LLC, as an associate in February 2015. Michael is originally from the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Ohio. After high school graduation Michael was a Rotary Exchange Student and spent a year in Ecuador. Upon returning to the United States, Michael graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ohio University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Business Management.
Intrigued by the people and culture of New Orleans, Michael moved to Louisiana to attend law school at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. He received his Juris Doctor from Loyola in 2014 with a concentration in the Civil Law program. While in law school Michael was a St. Thomas More Inn of Court Member, an Editor of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal, and a National Team Advocate for the Loyola Trial Advocacy program.
Prior to joining Morris Bart, LLC, Michael was an extern for the Honorable Judge Zainey, earned criminal law experience as a student-practitioner, spent a summer in Natchitoches, Louisiana interning for North Louisiana Legal Services, and researched new developments for the ever popular Harges & Jones Louisiana Evidence. He is licensed to practice law in all Louisiana state courts.
