Car accident

One person died and four were injured after a head-on collision in south Lake Charles. According to KPLC, the crash happened at around 12:30 p.m. when Sean Nunez, 37, swerved into oncoming traffic on Gauthier Road. His car struck a Ford pickup that was carrying three occupants. Both vehicles then hit a pedestrian, who was running alongside the road.

Everyone involved in the crash was rushed to a local hospital. The driver who allegedly caused the accident, Sean Nunez, died from his injuries. The pedestrian and at least two occupants of the Ford pickup have been released from the hospital.

This story is a tragic reminder that a serious car accident can happen at any time – and no matter how responsible you are behind the wheel, you cannot control the actions of other drivers. Head-on collisions can be particularly devastating. Victims who are lucky enough to survive often face permanent physical and cognitive disabilities.
