Ms. Tyra Spencer graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology in 1999.  Ms. Spencer received her Juris Doctorate degree and a certificate in Environmental Law from Tulane University in 2005.  While attending Tulane University Ms. Spencer volunteered at the First City Court Eviction Clinic and was a student attorney with the school’s Environmental Law Clinic.  As a student attorney Ms. Spencer represented local communities seeking both state and federal remedies for environmental problems.

Ms. Spencer’s prior legal experience includes insurance law, worker’s compensation law, civil litigation and toxic tort litigation.  Ms. Spencer is admitted to practice law in Louisiana and is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association.
