Maya Guntz Flowers is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor of Arts in history from Hampton University in Hampton, VA; there she was awarded the Armistead Award for the outstanding graduate in the fields of History and Political Science. Mrs. Flowers received her Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center. While at the Law Center she served as Articles Editor of the Journal of Race, Gender, and Poverty, Chair of the Fredrick Douglass Moot Court Board, a member of the Mock Trial team, and a fellow for the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Program.
Prior to joining Morris Bart, LLC, Mrs. Flowers worked in the areas of legal assistance, environmental law, employment law, contract negotiations, and family law. Mrs. Flowers is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts.
