For over 17 years Mr. Altman has dedicated his entire professional life to helping injured people. In law school, he excelled academically and was selected as a member of the Loyola Law Review. Mr. Altman has written published articles and has assisted in the drafting of rules governing attorney ethics. He has also taught continuing legal education to attorneys in handling personal injury matters. He is experienced in representing people in a variety of injury and damage matters in all respects including trial and appellate work.
As of 2010, Mr. Altman is one of only 12 lawyers in the state of Mississippi to earn the designation of Board Certification in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification (www.nblsc.us) Mr. Altman is an active member of the Mississippi Bar, Louisiana State Bar Association, Florida State Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, the Mississippi Association for Justice (formerly the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association) and the American Association for Justice (formerly American Trial Lawyers Association).
Mr. Altman is a competitive sailor and sailing enthusiast serving on the board of directors of several sailing non-profit organizations. He is also a multiple year Florida and Mississippi state Judo champion. He has competed both nationally and internationally, and was a member of the U.S. team competing in the World Maccabiah Games in Israel. Mr. Altman applies the discipline learned in martial arts to structure his personal organizational skills in representing his clients.
