Mr. Garfunkel was born and raised in New Orleans. He graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and was a member of the American Marketing Association. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Loyola School of Law in 1992. In addition to his many years practicing personal injury law, he was also a claims examiner for an independent insurance claims service for two years. He has been with Morris Bart, LLC since 1997. Mr. Garfunkel is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and is licensed to practice before all state courts in Louisiana and in the United States Eastern and Western District Courts as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Garfunkel is also licensed to practice before all State Courts in the State of Texas.
